From 2016-2017 I acted as the Program Manager, Business Analyst, and Project manager for the Global Talent Development department of Rackspace Hosting, Inc. Learning and Performance Systems.
As the Program Manager and Senior Business Analyst, I assisted management with interviewing over 70 employees across the global business, resulting in identifying over 500 requirements and quantifying the requirements to identify the most important staff development across the company, and recommended the Company pursue a formal RFP for an internal and external learning and performance system. Over the course of six months I assisted senior leadership in realizing the most important system requirements that would support a system that would provide the most effective system to support the development of its employees.
The Program also involved analyzing an eCommerce system to sell professional development to the public, and identifying business requirements to upgrade the current Open Cloud Academy billing system to support the sale of external training, working with accounting and revenue teams. The Program also involved analyzing an existing public Learning System and existing Cloud training as possible revenue streams for the Company, working with supply chain and legal.
From 2013-2014 I managed the business process analysis and systems re-engineering for the Software as a Solution (SaaS) implementation for Cornerstone On-Demand Performance Management and Learning Management Systems for the Office of Human Resources, Organizational Development.
The project included the negotiation of a five year software agreement and consulting services for the performance, learning and succession modules of the talent management system by Cornerstone On-Demand.
Over the course of a nine month period, in conjunction with Cornerstone On-Demand consultants and representatives from across the business units, I lead the discovery and configuration of the SaaS system to meet our specific business needs. Additionally, I acted as the process manager and the project lead, system administrator, training consultant, documentation specialist, and help desk for the roll-out of performance and learning management modules, while monitoring the work of the consultants and the project budget in order to ensure that they (the consultants) adhered to the quality standard necessary to deliver expert results. This required interacting with three consulting firms as we purchased certain components of the software and services from one re-seller, and other components directly from the software vendor that used sub-contractors to deliver the implementation services.
During this time I created and managed the system implementation communication plan, drafting the bulk of the communication materials for executive leadership.
In preparing for the implementation I recommended members and coordinated the work of the implementation team and steering committee to ensure representation from all areas of the College that would use the system throughout all phases of the implementation. I created the test scripts based on system discovery and configuration, and lead the user acceptance testing with the implementation and steering committees while analyzing the results of the testing in order to address the results in the final configuration of the system.
To familiarize end users with the new system I delivered sixteen College-wide demonstrations on the performance system before go live, coordinated with the training consultants regarding the design and development of the end user training materials (print, PDF, and On-Demand) as well as designing and developing sections of the training.
When the performance management system was launched in late May 2014, I was the acting primary system administrator while providing end-user technical support, conducting group training sessions and one-on-one support.
